What is can you dry darks and lights together?

It's generally not recommended to dry dark and light colored clothes together. Here's why:

  • Color Transfer: Dark fabrics, especially new ones or those made of certain materials like denim or brightly colored cotton, can bleed dye. This dye can then transfer to lighter colored items, causing them to become stained or discolored.

  • Lint: Dark clothes tend to attract more lint. If you dry them with lights, the lint from the dark clothes may cling to the lighter items, making them look fuzzy and worn.

  • Fading: While drying itself can contribute to fading, drying darks with lights doesn't directly impact this. However, if you are drying at higher temperatures, it can accelerate fading.

To prevent these issues, it's best to separate your laundry into loads of darks and lights, and dry them separately.
